Our clients contacted us to find out about replacing their existing conservatory with one of our contemporary pod extensions.
As they used the conservatory every day, it was important for them to have this useable family space.
We removed the existing conservatory, and after installing the foundations, built the pod.
For the windows and sliding patio doors, we used Pilkington optifloat glass on the outer panes. This glass is available in thicknesses above 6mm which can be used for a variety of commercial and residential applications where superior strength, reduced reflection and noise reduction are required.
16mm chambers filled with argon gas, coupled with Pilkington Low-E inner panes and storm proof hinges provides this pod with a thermal U-value of just 1.2!
We removed the doors into the pod extension to give an open plan flow, installing internal and external spotlights.
The external plinth was finished in black slate, to match the black frames of the new room.
All leadwork was treated with a special oil to prevent staining of adjoining surfaces. Black fascia and gutters completed the contemporary look of this stunning project.
Our customers now have a stunning contemporary family room they can use all year round.
Our clients got back in touch to ask us to replace all of their windows and doors in anthracite grey.
They were very happy with their service from start to finish, explaining that all of our staff completed the work neatly and efficiently.
We love what they have done with their completed project, and we all have a serious case of home envy!!
